Took my Iconia instead of my laptop

This weekend I was in a wedding and I took my Iconia instead of my laptop. This is the first time I have ever left home for more than 24 hours (in the last 15 years or so) without a laptop.

I even did a server reboot of my systems remotely. My laptop and power supply together is almost 13 pounds so the freedom I am getting from this thing is awesome - Love it.

Now if I can use it with something other than my mifi at home, I will have the last piece of the puzzle.

My Iconia goes places with me that my laptop used to go. Except for submitting homework to my web-based classes, and some media work and web design work, I am using my Iconia for everything that I used my laptop for. (Which is good seeing as my laptop's battery is so far gone the machine lasts all of thirty seconds when it's unplugged.)

SwiftKey makes it bearable to type long emails and papers on the device, and QuickOffice is an able replacement for M$ Office (but I would still prefer an OpenOffice port to Android...) We are also investigating using tablets instead of laptops for the karaoke business I work for.

I'd like to hear more stories about how people are using their tablets instead of laptops.
