[TOOL] - 12/29 - CleanFLASH 1.0 - Flash boot / recovery.img easil

This is a quick tool that I made that does two things. It will flash recovery.img or boot.img.

You must supply the recovery.img and or the boot.img!
You must be HTCDev Unlocked!



To use:

1. Place recovery.img and or boot.img in the same folder as the tool!
2. Start the tool
3. Make selections
4. Reboot phone when done

Available Recoveries:

[Recovery] Amon Ra style vigor HERE
Remember to unzip the zip file and place recovery.img in the tool folder!


Bootimages are generally in the ROM.zip. You would open ROM.ZIP and place the boot.img in the folder.

This is a great tool, Scott. I think 50% of newbies are put off from the idea of flashing just because of the CMD inputs, so this should solve that problem.

using your tool and downloaded the amon ra recovery and put it into the same directory. I run the script and end up with:

Here we go....
Make sure recovery.img is in this folder!
Press any key to continue . . .
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
< waiting for device >

then my rezound reboots and sits at the fastboot screen. I see

VIGOR PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.1-.----
eMMC-boot
Oct 5 2011

fastboot (highlighted in red)


bootloader (highlighted in blue)
reboot
reboot bootloader
power down

if i choose the bootloaded I get a screen that just sits there with a red triangle over a ! superimposed over a phone image..

any ideas?

Do you have HTC drivers installed?

Yup, just unlocked at the htc site minutes earlier. Used the clean script in the past with temp root.

ok, so i was kicking off the script while the phone was on and running, not at the fastboot. I just went into fastboot and did the old school

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

and looks like I am good to go. I am assuming I should have run the script when my phone was in the fastboot prompt?

Either or... The script will put you in fastboot if you are not already there... Seems like it was hanging up at that part for you.

This tool just saved me from soft brick (did a battery pull during a hanging nandroid, didn't know it was frowned upon). Thanks again!

I don't have it anymore but you can try moseying over to Scottsroms.com and asking Scott if he still has a copy. I'm not sure that it would even still work, but you can always try.
