Tools needed to install MT browser on rooted Droid?

i get the triangle with the exclamation point in it and the phone just below. then when i press volume + and the camera button i get the system recovery page overlayed ontop of that where it gives me the 4 options to reboot, apply sdcard, wipe data/ and wipe cache.

Am I supposed to have user permissions listed in the super user app when I click to open it? When I click on the lil ninja icon I show no user permissions at all listed in there.

When you open the ninja nothing will show.

Looks like you have not installed the SPRecovery.

100 to 1 says he's not rooted. It happned to me too. Download a terminal emulator and type "su" without the quotes and see if it gives you an error.

after typing in su without quotes it says uid 10072 not allowed to su

Then that means you don't have root access. That's why the app doesn't work.
The Super User ninja app is an app that works through root. If you don't have root access then the app will stay there but it wont do anything. When you open Droid root helper the first time and started clicking buttons, if you weren't prompted to allow the app permission it means you don't have root.
So now your first step would be to reroot your phone unfortunately.

That's what I figured. I'll have to find a valid link to to download the root folder and go root it again. I wonder if when the auto update to 2.01 went in I somehow lost root? I thought I redid the steps to root but it must not have taken. Anyone have a valid download link to get the root files?

I think I still have it on my PC but I don't know how to make an attachment on here. I'm at work right now.

Finally got myself set up and rooted. Don't know why it did that but who knows. Thank you do everyone who helped me out.

The Multi Touch browser works really good. Seems to be a bit smoother than the normal browser.
