Tools needed to install MT browser on rooted Droid?

I think Droid Root Helper asks that you install the tools folders. First do that.
Then:
hit "Mount mtdblock3 System read/write"
hit "Install and chmod busybox..."
hit "Install and chmod flash_image."
hit "Flash 1X.0 recovery...."
hit "Rename recovery-boot.."
Then "Unmount mtdblock3..."
Last "Sync"
(You have now flashed the latest SPRecovery available through DRH)
Now hit "Reboot Recovery"
It will take you to the recovery image.

Now make a nandroid back up.
Go to "backup/restore"
select it with the camera button
Now select "Simple Nandroid backup"
(This will make a back up of your system, incase you do not like the Browser or want to go back if something goes wrong)
Let it finish makng the back up.
Now hit the power button (this will take you back) select "reboot system now".
Once it reboots.
Connect to your pc and open up the sd card by mounting.
Look for the Nandroid folder and move it to a safe place in your computer.
Now you can install the zip file that is available.
Just place it in your sd root.
Open droid root helper and hit "Reboot Recovery"
Hit Install
Install Update Zip. (Deprecated).

Okay... I got everything done by the book (I did use the mtdblock4 option) up till : hit "Install and chmod flash_image."

I did that but there is no button that shows : hit "Flash 1X.0 recovery...." Am I missing something?

I have the old one.
Hit "Flash 99.1b recovery......."
Should be the last button.

It's the very last button under "Recovery".

Side note: I'm pretty sure that if you are using Droid Root Helper (Free) the dev hasn't updated the app to the newest recovery image. It's 99.2bIf I am correct it's an easy fix.

First download the lattest recovery image at http://downloads.sholes.info/recovery-0.99.2b.img
Then move the file to the SD card on your phone and place it in the "Tools" folder
Then delete the file that says recovery-0.15.0.img or something. I have the pro so I can't remember what it is.
Then when you press the "Flash xx.x recovery" button it will flash the newest recovery image.

Okay... cool. Now that I have done that how do I install the updated browser in that zip file from the other thread?

Place the Update.zip in the main directory. Same one as the Tools, nandroid, DCMI and so on. It should be by itself (not in a folder).
Open DRH and hit "Reboot Recovery".
Once in recovery:
Hit "Install"
and
Install "Update Zip. (Deprecated)"
Should load up the zip.

I had it for a few days and did like it better then dolphin browser but there seemed to be a small glitch on the google search page towards the top. Today I just flashed sholes rom which has the multi touch browser which didn't have the glitch (small bar on the top).

Odd. I don't have that.

Okay... I click reboot recovery and I don't see any type of install tab or button. Is there supposed to be one there?

Odd. I don't have that.

It was strange because I didn't anything about it. It was a gray bar just under the address bar and it blocked the options of images, local, news, and more on the google search page only.

Should be the last option when you are in recovery.

So I'm wondering... Just because I have the super user lil ninja guy, that doesn't necessarily mean I am rooted correct? I wonder if I have the super user access but the phone isn't actually rooted? Correct me if I'm wrong.

When in Droid root helper I get these buttons.

mount mtdblock3
mount mtdblock4
unmount mtdblock3
unmount mtdblock4
sync

rename recovery from boot

install and chmod busybox
install and chmod flash_image
Install skull theme
Install default theme
flash bootanimation.zip

reboot
reboot recovery
shutdown

flash 99.1b recovery

When clicking on any of the reboot options the program seems to do nothing. I get into no other screens or anything. It just shows a small popup that says rebooting into recovery then back to the same main screen.

The app may be acting up. You are root. Reboot while holding x on the physical keyboard.
