Top 20 things wrong with the Xoom

If I had to come up with 21 I'd add USB charging but I know they can't fix that with software so I'll suffer through. And don't give me some crap about voltage....the iPad has a USB charger - yes one end is their 30 pin icrap, but the other end is standard USB. Also - the Nook uses USB to charge.

The iPad and nook can barely manage to charge over USB. In fact, my nook to standard AC charger can't even maintain, much less charge. When connected to the computer, it does not charge at all. I needs to be connected to it's own AC/DC converter, and have it's own proprietary USB port (needs to be longer to have more charging pins). The XOOM's battery is massively larger, so even that probably wouldn't work. The iPad has a 30 pin, again, moto could have done that. But then you would complain about a proprietary plug.

"Some crap about voltage" is just not accurate.

#1 Yes it does charge, but the skinny design is prone to breaking off. It's just a matter of time.

My netbook has the exact same pin, a pin that has been tossed into bags, smashed by massive textbooks, stepped on, kicked, etc for two years. Not even bent.

I don't know what's worse the xoom whiners or thunderbolt whiners! geeze the xoom is more a pc then a phone. micro use is mice but it can't handle the larger battery. FYI everyone was aware of the short falls no flash no lte no SD card no micro usb charge it was a little heavy. but u still went out and bought it.

My complaints in no specific order.
The charging pin is an epic fail.
This doesn't affect me as it is on a dock all day at work and all night at home, but that is extra cost most are not able/willing to pay.

I am very pleased with this purchase. 2 days before it came out I thought I was 90% not buying. I am glad I did! I understand though that this is not for everyone and I hope one comes out that meets your needs. Keep pushing the market for the tablet you desire and we will all reep the rewards!

This is a new product. It is basically a 1st Gen Android tablet, so there are bound to be glitches. How many 1st Gen devices have ever came out without bugs, etc. I purchased this device because of it's potential. OTA updates will take care of the majority of issues. Apps will get better once more developers get on board. I for one absolutely LOVE this device, and coupled with my Atrix, Motorola is now my daddy!! For all the whiners, please do return yours, and go with Crapple devices, that way there will be less complaining from the people who really are behind this product. That's what a return period is for.

And to the OP, I for one got and appreciated your sarcasm! :)

Uh, what? LCD screens don't get blurry unless 1) the image you're looking at is blurry, 2) condensation built up between the glass and the LCD screen, or 3) you're wiping greasy slices of pizza on the screen. Do you mean that the colors don't seem as vibrant? That's just due to the color temperature being a bit on the high/cool side, which can be changed through a software update. It could possibly be due a lower than average color gamut, but I doubt it.

Honestly I wish these devices allowed multiple color temperature profiles and contrast settings, but I doubt I'll ever see the day.

The Xoom does have it, you will get it, I have a feeling the SD cars update will hit a bit soon after the WiFi only version hits stores. I really want the WiFi only Xoom rumours to be confirmed already.

Same here as I had no intention to purchase the xoom but am glad I did -actually two.

As for dreamsti no one is making fun of you... if you were not able to swing the 800 no problem.
