Torch

Is there a way to turn on the torch using the cover screen? It would be quite handy to be able to do thar without opening the phone.

good question! I even downloaded a light app for double press and still would not work

Settings > Advanced Features > Side Key > Double Press > Open App > Select the Flashlight. Now, I just double press the side key and the flashlight/torch comes on (works with the phone closed too) - then double press to turn it off. Very handy!

That does work thanks. But I use that to open the camera.
