Or buy phone at $300 with a new line. Dump the phone onto old line and put a old junk phone on your new line at $10 a month. Over 2 years its $240. So $300+$240=$540 with $300 up front and the $240 paid over 2 years. Then you also have a extra phone number to use and another line to upgrade in the future.

ha. Exactly what I did before. Buy a cheap flip phone on ebay for like 15 bucks. Throw that on the new line that I buy the nexus with. Then spend that extra $10 per month. Only problem is, right now Im currently on unemployement funds. That might run out in about 6 months. So by that time Im hoping and praying I can get a job. Thats the big trigger problem for me right there.

This is only the case when you are on a family plan. I am on an Individual plan and there is no option to add a line for 10/month. If I switch to a family plan to add a 2nd line, it costs a lot more than 10/month!

I don't know why everyone thinks the family plan is the norm... Am I the only single guy on here?

If you had an old feature phone you should be able to do it, then take the data package off the new line, then it should only cost you $10 a month

I have an bunch of old feature phones... I've been with Verizon since the first Digital Startac up to the Envy Touch but I do not see any option to add a line to my Individual plan for $10/month. I can change to a family plan and pay 69.98 vs 39.99/month for voice mins but that is a hell of a lot more than 10!

Please someone explain how I can add a 10/month line to my INDIVIDUAL PLAN. Please! I would love to do this as I will be stuck paying retail for my GNex.
