Touchpad behaves strangely

In a couple of weeks Using the touchpad on my chromebook is a freaking nightmare, the cursor to jump around. Sometimes it causes the browser to minimize, or behaves like I've clicked on the task bar and opens things I haven't touched. Sometimes it's bad enough that I can't even use the touchpad, but then the issue stops for some time only to start again and drive me crazy.

Dears, any ideas what should I do?
Thanks, Klaudia:'(

Sorry, I know this is a very late response. Did you ever figure it out?
Are you certain it's the trackpad and not the digitizer/screen? Have you tried plugging in a USB mouse and using it for awhile to see if the problem still occurs? That way you can be certain whether it's the actual trackpad or not.

Mine did the exact same thing. Initially I thought it was a virus.

I concluded it was the screen. It seemed more stable when it was perfectly vertical, and more unstable when angled down.

Sometimes when I'd go to type and lean on the keyboard, that little pressure would tilt the whole Chromebook and items on my screen would get selected.

It's super clear now after dealing with it for a while, it's the angle of the screen. I have a 2nd Asus Chromebook C100P that I bought at the same time as the problem one, and there are no issues with that one at all.
