Touchscreen sensitivity problem

My wife and I got a pair of V30s on Black Friday. I seem to of gotten lucky to get one that has no problems, but the one my wife is using is having problems with touch sensitivity, and she noticed it pretty much right away. We both have the class screen protector sold by T-Mobile.

For example, watching a video taken with the phone, I tried to pause the video at a specific place. It seemed to have registered that I touched the screen so it would bring up the play controls, but it took five tries of touching the pause button for it to actually register that input. I even very to the touch pressure by doing it softly and hard.

Between this forum and Reddit I have not seen anyone else with this problem, so I wanted to post to see if I have been missing anything. I guess the next order of business is a factory reset. She's not going to be happy.

Make sure that if there is a case on with the glass protector that it isn't slightly pushing the edges of the protector. I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the case/protector issue. I couldn't figure it out then I noticed if I pressed a little things worked better. I took off the case and smoothed out the protector on the screen and it was fine. I switched cases and have not had an issue since.
