Touchwiz 3.0

Wow. I've been such a Fascinate nerd ever since I bought my phone about a month ago. But this is the first time I'm seeing this:

Touch Wiz 3.0

Is this for real? It looks so amazingly sexy and sleek. Wow, a huge improvement over the current version of touch wiz.

Will 3.0 be released on current Galaxy S devices? And if so, how do you think they would they push the update out? OTA?

Pshh, never mind. Guess we do have "this" version. Looks like a case of either a fake render, or a case of render beats product. Would be cool though?reminds me of the new blackberry OS.

It LOOKS great, but my question is how nicely will it play on top of Android? I don't want Samsung pulling a Sony Ericson and piling so much on top of Android that OS updates are next to impossible.

Don't get me wrong some of this looks pretty damn nifty, but just my concerns with it. As for current devices, I doubt we'll ever see it. I see this, if it happens, as being for future Samsung Android devices.

There are two different versions of TouchWiz floating around out there, it depends on which version of the Galaxy S you have, and as far as I know one of them is 3.0, which is on the Fascinate.

It looks like the device in the video is the Samsung Wave running the Bada OS. It could be a TouchWiz interface for that platform vs. Android.

Which version of touchwiz does the wave have? Looking at videos from your link, the touchwiz interface looks more in tune to what we have vs the touchwiz 3.0 video.

Itd be nice if they redesigned touchwiz to look more, uhhh, less iphony.

All the specs I can find say it's 3.0. In the comments section of the video you posted, some people speculate that it's a fake, others say they have that phone and it doesn't look anything like that. So who knows.

And yes I agree - they should stay away from knocking off the iPhone.

Hypothetically If this is touch wiz 3.0, could some of these features be part of ginger bread? google did say that 2.3 is supposed to be a ui overhaul.

Also, since the nexus S is made by samsung and has gingerbread, would they possibly have access to it or already know what the changes will do. If I am right then I'm really looking forward to 2.3

I suppose it is entirely possible. If The Nexus S is a Google phone and it's being made by Samsung then I would imagine they have already had quite a bit of time with Gingerbread. I don't want to get too many hopes up, especially since there are questions with the version number not adding up and not matching what is on other TouchWiz devices, but it's definitely worth some thought.

Silly Cory, Fascinates are for kids haha.

If this is not gingerbread and instead only samsung's overlay then maybe I might make the jump.

And speaking of upgrades, I'm am officially eligible to early upgrade on version. Which device is going to make me upgrade? I'm not rushing since I got the incredible less than 2 months ago. If this was my droid then I'd be more anxious about it.
