Trackpad Button

Hi All,

I just moved from the myTouch 3G Slide to the G2. So far, love the G2. One thing I do miss is the ability to wake up the phone by touching the trackpad, like I could on the 3G Slide. From what I have seen, the only way to wake up the phone is to touch the power button.

Is there an option I am missing that would allow the phone to be woke up via the trackpad?

I think that was design for as a safety precaution to prevent the phone from being accidentally turn on.

Did you check all the settings? I honestly can't remember if I could do it when I had mine or not.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't put that feature in there, but I'm also sure that ROM dev's are looking into adding it if it's possible.

Over at xda someone has made trackpad wake possible. Unfortunately htc didn't give us that feature.

well im guessing you haven't rooted your phone yet, but im rooted with gingervillian 1.5 and i love it, and you can wake or unlock with the track pad, menu button, or even all of them

Its the forums you need to be familiar with as it is where all the developers that will make your rooted device sing. Google it, bookmark it, thank me later

try No Lock app. It worked for me. I came from a slide also.

Its been a long time since I been on stock, but try widgetlocker. It is a great lock screen replacement and allows to be woken up by the trackpad on stock. If not, xda will be your friend.
