Trade in: Still no acknowledgement from Samsung!

My trade in was received last week on the 10th. 7 business days is tomorrow and I haven't heard anything since. Sent to Hyla Mobile. Samsung chat said if I don't hear anything by tomorrow, they will take care of it.

Seven business days from Feb 10 is Feb 22.

We just got an email today that they received ours. We took video and pictures of our phones. Only thing wrong with mine that I knew of was Zagg put a horrible install on a couple months back and the screen protector was a mess but I left it on to help protect some while being shipped but both of ours should be good.
 
I got the email they received my device over 2 weeks ago. Today is about the 10th business day. Chat basically said I have to wait.

My guess is the weather in Texas has slowed down the process. Have a shipment of some accessories that is delayed because of it too.

@Zorrak: thanks for your info.

compared with what some other folks said, which is that the chat folks were able to just simply go in and OK'd the incoming phone for trade in and the whole thing is done, your situation and mine are very different.

i have not yet tried chat, but i'm already due for being OK'd by Samsung!
 
I would give it, at the very least, another week because of the weather related issues Texas is currently experiencing. I know how hard it is to wait, I have an order thats been sitting in a FedEx truck since last Wednesday because of the weather - 10 days and don't expect it till next week.

I suggest doing a search for the town the return certer is in and see how bad the weather as there. I am guessing it is Irving Tx and if so, I did a search and it looks bad. Power is now just coming back on.

Wait, who reported that chat reps were able to approve a trade-in phone without waiting for the technicians to evaluate it? I don't see that anywhere in this thread.

they got a lot of snow and ice too. I give them time too. They have been basically shuttered too for a few days - look it up.. The snow storm was massive and there was three rounds since last Tuesday that moved across the south. Travel has been limited for at least a 11 days so far for most of the south. People not going to work, trucks stuck in truck stops and more.

I did...For Note 21 ultra after over 2 weeks (turned s20 U) went by I messaged on chat and he said it has been over 2 weeks since we received, I will approve for you and within 5 minutes got the email.

Same here in that I've also waited 10 business days, but the rep said she was able to see that the device had a cracked camera lens and would be rejected. I kindly informed her that I reported the device during the trade/sale as having a cracked screen. She checked that out, confirmed it, and said they will honor the trade.

I finally got an email today 20 days after they said they got my phone. It says Trade In requirements not met. They are saying they received an empty package.


Edit: I got on chat live immediately and they said there is a video of them opening the box with nothing in it! He said they will remove the charge as a 1 time exception. This is crazy, I promise I triple wrapped it and sent it. I was more worried about the screen cracking in transit. I don't think I will ever mail a phone in again after this. It was nice of them to quickly let it go this time but where the hell is the phone, someone at Fedex or Samsung opened it took the phone and delieverd an empty box?!

Anyone know steps to take to get the IMEI black listed or shouldn't I do something, maybe let Fedex know too?

Oh my gosh that's crazy! Me and my husband sent ours both back on the same day and I got confirmation today that mine got accepted and he never got an email yet which was weird..

When my device finally got there, I received an email from Samsung that it arrived within 24 hours of the fedex notification. Another 24 hours later I received an email that the trade in was accepted.

This was earlier this week.
