Trade In Time Frame

Samsung is getting rich (even richer) with these trade-ins! They're wiping them off with their T-Shirt and selling them as refurbished to "someone" somewhere!
I'm sure they do more than just wipe off the debris! At least I hope so!

My trade-in was due by February 8. Odd to see the variance in trade-in time given to people. For what it's worth, I was trading in my S23 Ultra 512 GB from last year.

It didn't matter because I sent my S23 back the same day I received by S24 Ultra 512 GB.

I guess that's the ONLY positive so far with my experience in dealing with my carrier.

ATT is giving me 30 days after I activate the S24U to send in my trade. I hope you all feel confident before sending your old phone so quickly.

I finished most of the new phone setup over the weekend. To the point that I finally felt comfortable resetting my old phone.

After getting it Friday afternoon, I started with Smart Switch Friday evening. Then switching the UI over to Nova Launcher. Then half of Saturday getting the emails working right. Finding out that evening about some of my unsupported sound file format issues with my main ringtone and alarms.

Fixed that Sunday and checked other app sign-ins - some that carried over and some that I needed to re-sign into again.

Took the SIM card out. Took the SD card out. Selected factory reset, and at the point where the first screen says "Welcome", I turned it off.

It's ready to go now. I just have to do it.

Just dropped mine off at the FedEx store this am. Got my phone (S24+) on 1/26. It said to return my trade by 2/8, but I saw no reason to wait.
Yeah ours says the 8th hubby still needs to dump his pictures to his pc. I'm ready to reset mine tonight after work.

I am planning to send my trade in (S22 Ultra) out tomorrow. What the heck is the FCC ID? I just noticed that on the Samsung website under the FAQs for the Trade in Program.
I already factory reset my phone.

Maybe that paragraph is out dated information. We don't get a manual & we can't remove the battery. The FCC ID is on the phone in the settings under 'Status information.'

I've been hiding out upstairs with my parrot. His phone & watch are patiently waiting on the dining room table. All I've done is charge the new s24 Ultras. I'm now re-cataloging my phone photos on the s22u (I'm stalling the inevitable) & taking a break to catch up on the posts here.

Husband - 1
Wife - 0
😉😀
Maybe next time...
You're a sweetheart 😉 I'm sure you both have things you do for each other that's in your perspective wheelhouses. I get the impression you're a little more tech savvy than your husband (heck you're more tech savvy than me lol) so I'm sure he appreciates the help 😉

At least I hope he does because you're a special lady 😃

I'm blushing, such kind words. Truly, thank you!
☺️
He's a wonderful husband & I believe we complement each other well. There's also a lot of appreciation that goes both ways.

The tech pendulum definitely swings my way in our household & that's okay. I just was not looking forward to the 'set-up new, return old' routine this year.

Again, thank you. You're a very kind hearted person with a fabulous sense of humor. I always enjoy reading your posts.
😄

After my last bad trade-in experience with AT&T, I will never send my phone in by mail. The prepaid shipping label they sent me used a recycled tracking number which was completely useless and they lost my phone. Moving forward, I've decided to only upgrade my phone by turning over my old phone at the AT&T store in-person.
