Trade-in turnaround time.

I finally got an email yesterday from Samsung. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 was regected because... it was Watch Active 2. Like for many people with Active 2 trade-in. A quick chat with Customer Service fixed the issue.

My friend was also rejected with the exactly the same issue.
 
After waiting 10 days from the email I got saying they reveived tradeins, I called samsung. The order page said devices were in "triage" she checked and they were trying to say both devices had broken screns and cameras. No way, everything was shipped in original boxes padded in a larger box. Rep corrected it and voided the chargeback. She was excellent and very personable. She even sent confirmation emails for my records. Way to go Samsung!
 
Just sounds like a nightmare. They just fake things to keep devices and charge you anyway. If you didn't fight it you would be out by hundreds of dollars. This makes me determined never to trade in a device.
 
I think for the future, I will photograph everything I send in great detail and I may include a copy in the box and keep a copy
 
So, just for updates, I sent my N20U back. It arrived on Tuesday and yesterday (Wed), I was sent an email stating that my trade-in was accepted.
 
Sending in my Note 20U tomorrow or Monday. It was a beast and I definitely bought into the Z Fold 3 hype but it's so fun to use haha. Love the big screen and people's reaction to it. Also I dropped it on a baseball field and landed on sand and left a few marks on the hinge sadly so I don't know if Samsung would charge back for returning scratched up during the 21 day period. Only things I'll miss are the optical zoom, slab form factor sometimes and I may miss the s-pen although I'll admit it was sometimes tough to get screenshots because of the curved screen.

Thankfully I've never had an issue and have traded in a device every release from the note 10+ up to now. Also they will send your phone back so I don't believe they're purposely trying to stiff people.
