i was wondering, i have a Nexus 4 and a Note 2. both are great devices. but the idea of getting an ipad 2 (to fit the need for a tablet) struck my mind. it's great to have the Nexus 4, but sometimes i don't really see a point of having two phones at the same time. i will certainly not letting go of the Note 2, but i was thinking of trading the Nexus 4 with an i-Pad 2.

but, i'll miss one thing for sure - the immediate updates directly from Google (which was my point of getting the Nexus 4 in the first place). i know the i-Pad 2 seems old, considering Apple has been notoriously introducing new gen of i-Pads annually..

i need opinions from all of you good citizens of AC, do help me out what are the pros and conts?...:)

I'd suggest getting a Nexus 7. High-end Nexus tablet for only $199.

I'd say don't get the iPad 2 - it's too old at this point.
If you really need a tablet get an N7 or wait for the N7-2.

Isn't the iPad 2 pretty old? I think at the very least you should investigate the dollar value of a used ipad2. Aside from that it's your call. Two phones is rather redundant. Personally, I think the nexus 4 is the best phone out there but to each his own.

I don't understand the need for a phablet and a tablet either. I was worried the nexus 4 was too big as I bring my tablet everywhere.

Old but still practical :)... decision has been made. The N4 stays, no go for the iPad 2 or any iPad...:D

You could sell your Nexus 4 for at least $300 and then buy a Nexus 7 for less and make profit.

The iPad 2 is too old now, has a low resolution screen, and probably won't get any more iOS updates. Don't do it.

Or Sell the Note for like 500 and get a Nexus. That will solve your tablet problem.

Good choice! You could always sell you N4 and buy a brand new N7 if you wanted a tablet too. Though if I had a note 2, I wouldn't see the point of a mid sized tablet since the phone screen is already close in size, might as well go 10"

Like i said, the Note 2 stays and will not be part of the trade.

Plus, i've decided to stay with the Nexus 4. No go for the i-Pad.

I have the iPad 2 and the Nexus 4, I've used the Nexus 7 before. IMO the iPad is by far the best tablet (just like how the N4 is the best phone), but at this point I wouldn't buy an iPad 2. I've had mine for around 2 years, and I've never had any problems with it. But, it does feel outdated. If I were you I'd sell the Note 2 and buy an iPad 3 or 4. If you're for some reason set on getting rid of the N4 (Can't understand why someone would rather have a Note 2 then a N4), then I'd buy an iPad 2>N7. A 7" screen is too small for a tablet IMO, you'll enjoy the 10" screen much more. Or you could always buy the 10" Amazon/Kindle Fire tablet thing.

You'll definitely stay with the Note 2 if you deal with design, sketches and rely much on the S-pen. I'm sure there are more people out there who still prefer the Note 2 over Nexus 4.

Stock pure android is great, but it does not serve much function that would meet the need of certain group of people. The Galaxy Note is a good example. It serves as a niche to specific groups of people.

And fyi, in Malaysia the Note outsells the Nexus 4. Some people here never even heard of it. I consider myself kinda lucky :D...

And as aforementioned, the Nexus 4 stays. I don't need the iPad. The Note 2 itself is a phablet, although not serving the real estate of a tablet :)
