Traditional Key code security app?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend or knows of an app that will allow for a more traditional code entry way of locking your phone? I see that the phone has the unique pattern code but I don't want to use it because, quite frankly, I'm scared I'll lock myself out of the phone. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
