If you don't like him don't repost his tweets (which you did in at least two threads). If the phone is delayed by Verizon everyone who predicted it was coming out soon is wrong.

meh. Verizon said before the end of the year so would anyone actually be surprised? Any actual date is just hearsay at this point. Not sure why everyone goes into omg panic and delay mode.

This isn't a big deal, but I don't understand why you call someone a "d-bag" after you just reposted their tweets. If you don't think he knows what he's talking about why do you care? Aren't you just storing the pot?

Then you said people asked to to post them and that's not true. At least be honest.

I had a similar experience yesterday at the VZW store. I stopped in to see, hold ,feel caress, play with, a RAZR. I did like it but I'm waiting for the Nexus. I know better than to ask an employee about release dates but I figured he would know something about the phone.....WRONG!
He couldn?t understand why I wanted to wait on a Nexus because "the phones are basically the same" So of course I gave him a strange look. Then he said GB and ICS where pretty much the same OS, again he got a odd look from me. He said that there had been no traing for The Nexus nor was any scheduled and it probably wouldn't be out until Christmas-ish which didn't make a lot of sense. Why have press confrence and not release a phone for almost two months?

I'm wondering if the store employees are totally clueless or told to give customers false info to throw them off? Either way I think that guy was an idiot.

Oh, he also tried to sell me a Samsung Charge because it is a MUCH better phone than the RAZR or Nexus

I did the same thing just about an hour ago. If the Nexus was not on the radar, I would have been somewhat happy (but not ecstatic) with getting the RAZR.

I got the same reaction. "Why do you want that phone over the others?" was asked as the salesman mentioned the RAZR and Rezound in nearly the same breath.

He said that there had been no traing for The Nexus nor was any scheduled and it probably wouldn't be out until Christmas-ish which didn't make a lot of sense.

They guy I talked to today didn't mention training and said he "didn't really see anything in the system about the Nexus." That struck me as an odd way to say it. He also knew exactly what I was looking for so I would think that the training we've been hearing about has been provided.

The distinct impression I was left by the guy I was dealing with is that he was wanting to push me towards an impulse buy since the Nexus wasn't available. He mentioned "not until probably Black Friday" but the way he said it reinforced the impression I got that he wanted to get me to hook into a quick alternate purchase. So I think it was a little bit of false info. But I also paid attention to another salesperson trying to talk to another customer about Androids and it was clear to me that she was clueless beyond the talking points provided to her. So the clueless vs. false info is likely variable from rep to rep.

I just finished my training today and I am happy to tell you that the Galaxy Nexus will be ready to purchase on Monday baring any set backs... That's 11/14/2011

Don't forget they work on commission.

I would not be surprised to see very little to no hype over the nexus. Verizon will plug the Razor and Rezound with all of their bloatware they make extra $$ on.

Must have been a set back.... anyway p3droid said he got a update today. Hopefully its a update they wanted before they sell us the phone to fix any issues.
