I noticed in the manual that you could transfer contacts through Bluetooth, I was wondering if it only worked android to android or if it would be compatible between iOS and ics.

Bluetooth would work. It works with feature phones in many cases to transfer contacts as well.

Another option would be syncing with google. Use the exchange servers from your iOS system.

I would just upload to a google account then sync that google account with your android phone
Simple and painless

I third the Google Contacts recommendation.

Export your contacts file in your HTC mobile phone to your desktop or to a storage device.
After this, open your Gmail account followed by settings and then click on import button there. Then choose the saved contact file that you saved in the previous step. This is a way to sync.

Now the next step goes to iPad. In the device, tap on Settings option and then click Add account and then click on Microsoft Exchange in there. Just feed in the required information in the respective fields such as your email ID, password, server name as?m.google.com. Now just go through the rest of the process which is very easy and you will have all your contacts imported in there.?

Best of Luck!!
