Android Central Question

I currently have a Galaxy note 8 with a 128GB micro SD card installed and I just got a 256GB. I have 78GB worth of movies between Netflix and Google play movies(12 movies are currently downloaded to my SD card). is it possible to just copy and paste the files from my 128 GB to the 256GB and be able to watch them like normal? when I install the new card and I click play on one of my movies in google play I gives me an error that says "storage cannot be read (error -1)". and in Netflix it doesn't show any of the movies I know I have downloaded. any help is greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately nope, since the downloads are encrypted and linked to that specific card. You'd have to move the files to internal memory, install the new card, and move to SD card, or just re-download them.

Apps like Titanium Backup MIGHT work, but I'm not sure if they'll allow it without root access.
