Transferring apps to another phone

I have a couple of apps that are on my old nexus 5 phone and I want to transfer those apps to my ZTE axon 7 phone.
But those apps are not available in the play store anymore.

Any way of getting those apps transferred to my newer phone?

You could try Apk Extractor, then copy that apk file to the new phone. There wouldn't be any guarantee that the app is compatible with the newer phone, though.

You should download them from play store to make sure they are coded to your device.

True, but the problem for the OP is that those apps are no longer available in the Play Store.

Or backup apps and app data with Helium and install backup on new phone. Always worked for me.

What type of setting wi I loose. It's a simple app. It's a sound board from TV shows. You can set up to make it a ring tone etc

All you have to do is modify the settings back to what you prefer after you install it.
