i know it's crazy...but temporarily i'm stuck on my mom's computer which runs Windows 98...is there ANY way to get my phone to sync up to it so i can transfer a file or two onto it?

Are you trying to sync or copy files to the mounted SD card? Does the SD card not mount to the PC?

Best way to get stuff onto the phone would be AwesomeDrop. Best way to get stuff off phone and onto computer would probably be email.

I am assuming the SD card isn't mounting in Windows.

yep, it wont mount. my phone literally has more computing power than that computer. ill try awesome drop...thanks a lot!

I use dropbox for easy file transfers. I find it to be more convenient than connecting to USB most of the time. Awesomedrop is such a cool idea, but I'm already a dropbox user so...

You can use it through the web interface on the PC and with the (great) dropbox app on your android. A file manager like astro will help you move your files on the phone.

Win 98! I hope it was atleast Second Edition!

I had a guy come into the shop with an IBM PS1 with a broken floppy disk. There are no ports on this thing and he was still using it for a spreadsheet he started years ago.

I could not even get the data off the HD because it was a whopping 80MB (not a typo! 80MB) with a Single edge pre-IDE connector ( I don't remember the acronym at the moment). No power plugs for either the floppy or the HD. They were powered through the data channel.

At least he did not want to sync his smart phone! LOL
