Transferring sd card from one phone to another

I need to know if my sd card can be taken out of my Galaxy S3 phone and mounted into my friend's Galaxy S3 phone without losing
any of the data - songs, pictures, etc. - on the sd card? Thanks, Elizabeth

Welcome to the forums.
If all the files are on the card, you shouldn't lose them; Go to Settings>Storage>Unmount SD card. Pull the backing of the S3 off (there should be an indent at the top or bottom for your fingernail), and press the card in slightly. It will pop out and you can then remove it.
