According to the site there is no difference. Maybe leftovers in some areas from the Black Friday specials? Maybe its in a plain box?

The explanation people were giving on Fatwallet was that it was the exact same as the -A1, it was just the special BB black friday special. I don't know, though. Not sure why they would make a whole new model number just for a sale.

It can still be in your cart but that doesn't mean they'll ship it to you. I can put one in my cart but shipping is not available and the only option is to pick it up in store.

How did you do that? It is unavailable in all the stores around me. No fair. I wanted to pull the trigger quick. This is a great price... I think.

I went to Best Buy just a minute ago just to ask and they said this was the promo and he was not sure where it came from. Guy didn't know this was out there. He did say that this might be a link to get ready for when the prime comes available and to keep looking to see price drops after next week. Here's to hoping... once again for a good price drop.

I found the deal through Best Buy Deals twitter feed last night. Nobody really knew about it apparently. I know Slickdeals usually picks up on it fast but thank goodness for me they didn't. I'm sure they will be under $300 after the first of the year with the Prime coming out. This is my 1st tablet and I bought it so I can use my laptop a little less and the portability to use it at work (plus a write-off). I figured $300 was cheaper than $600+ for a decent laptop in the next year!

I was fortunate to get a Black Friday Transformer from Best Buy (#3 in line), however, it is not a X1 version. I have compaired mine with a friends (X1) and I noticed no difference in screen, build quality, WiFi connectivity or anything.

I was fortunate to get 6 Black Friday Transformers from Best Buy. Only 2 were the X1 version and u can't tell the difference between them other than the box. After taking one of the X1 apart for replacement parts. I can confirm all the hardware also is the same.
