Face it. You're getting older every day. Surely you've learned a few tricks, scoops, tidbits & ploys over the years.

Well NOW is the time to post them.

Here's my first one.
The cheapos around here will appreciate this -

When you goto some fast-food restaurant, order a small drink with your food instead of a large. Then, after (and only after) you pay for it all, make some sort of twisted face (preferably a scowl).

They cashier will most likely ask you what's wrong. You then tell him/her "Jeez, you know what? I should've gotten a large... sorry... how much extra for that?"

Usually the cashier will either be too busy or too lazy to change the order in the register/computer, so, guess what. They will probably just give you the large cup to make it easier for themselves and to get to the person waiting behind you.

This has happened to me quite a few times (accidentally, of course).

What can you teach us from YOUR past experiences?

I can say I do not approve of that, but its your thread and no judgement.

For tough stains on carpets, peroxide and blue dawn dish soap. About 2 parts peroxide, 1 part dawn. Put in a spray bottle and mix (use a dark spray bottle, if you want to use it again, or the peroxide will lose its strength). Let it sit for however long you can handle, and then blotch dry. You can scrub for extra tough stains, and vacuum up the excess suds if it bothers you. Safe on colored carpets and cloths, but as usual, test a small inconspicuous area first.

For hard water/ calcium build up or soap stains in the shower, put coca cola in a spray bottle. Spray and saturate affected areas. Let sit for about an hour. Take aluminum foil and scrub. Repeat if necessary.

Best solution for cleaning mirrors or windows,

Windex and that Sunday paper you contemplated throwing out. If no news paper, a handful of coffee filters will do the trick with no smudges.

I agree. Very dishonest. And its rude. You aren't setting a very good example for younger people.

All the younger people are on the tech side of the forum. All they're worried about is phones, bigger screens and faster processors, not this. Besides, i said i've done it accidentally. It usually happens when i see how small the small cups are. :)

When the wife asks "Honey do I look fat in this" ............................reply "No, you look beautiful in anything honey" :p

*** I have made the mistake a few times of saying it looked a little tight, and I was in the dog house for days

I got nothing.

Give me time, I have a lot of neurons to sort through. :p

When you have the urge to punch someone in the face, 99.9% of the time try to resist...
