Trillian beta for Android released

I know for Gtalk, Trialllian's servers create the connection for you, which might look like a red flag to google.

I thought of that too, I even chocked it up to that at first but when i logged into triallian i noticed i didn't have gtalk set up in triallian. Maybe I set it up and deleted it last night when i installed the application.

Hmm, not sure. I wonder if it imported from your desktop version? Maybe it has to do with the debug logging?

Trillian's pretty trustworthy, they're one of the top IM developers for, what, a decade?

You likely had GTalk running on it at some point.

Trillian has been around for a good long time, they are as trustworthy as you can find in an open market. I just installed it last night, filled in a few IM accounts but haven't played with it much yet. I will this weekend though, Im sure it'll work out just fine.

currently i can't seem to login, "unexpected server communication error"
The app itself seems ok, good on the battery. I have been booted out a few times and some inconsistant notifications, other then that i'm think this will be the best IM app for android.

I've noticed Trillian FC on me alot today. Usually its after I send an IM and close out of it then when I try to go back into program, thats when I get the FC. I am running CM though so that could be part of the problem.

Since installing trillian I've had my email accessed from ceruleanstudios.com and my facebook account is not working. I only logged into facebook and aim through trillian on android and it's the first time i've used the service. There might be something suspicious going on here.

This is a huge red flag for me. I've used several IM apps on my phone and PC and NEVER have I seen them access my Gmail account.

I would email the developer for an explination... and change your gmail password...

Same here. Hope an update comes out soon to fix it.

I also hope they allow the "return" key on my D1 keyboard to send the message.

It's a good thing this is still in Beta. I had nothing but trouble with it using it today. When it worked It was really nice, but I had some FC issues with it. Another thing I didn't like about it is where I live I have to use my WiFi for service but when I leave my house I have about a 1 to 2 minute window of no service until I get down the road. So basically Trillian has to sign out and doesn't sign itself back in. I get this functionality with eBuddy. For now I'll be sticking with that.

Trillian is also an email client on the PC and they've got a centralized server architecture. That's why they've accessed your email, they may add email features to the client on Android, but you can also play with them on their web interface.

I got randomly logged off of all my accounts. I never knew it untill someone told me. It would be nice if we got a notification when we are logged off like this.
