Trouble sending MMS

I am loving my G2 but have been having trouble sending picture texts. I stopped into a Verizon store last night and the guy who helped me went into my settings and said he enabled roaming and that after I did the update it might have knocked the roaming out. He said I should be set. I tried one and it worked. Subsequent ones aren't working, though. One thing I thought of is that the file size is too big when taking from the 13MP camera. I bumped it down to 10MP and one went through, but not others. I just can't quite narrow down the problem. My 14-day trial is up on Monday so I want to be sure I'm keeping this, but the text thing has me puzzled. I'm hoping there is a setting somewhere to alleviate this.

Any ideas?

Do you have a good 4G of 3G connection when you are trying to send them? Or are you trying over wifi?

Yesterday I experimented with turning off wifi when sending, because others had suggested that on various forums. That didn't work. I went into SMS and MMS settings and unchecked the box for preserving image size, which should then allow it to be sent as a 640 x 480 in text, which is fine with me. I also made sure there was no sending size limit set up. Today I did a few test ones and they went through, so maybe I'm going to be okay. It is always random so I never know when trouble will creep up. I put in a network extender yesterday to help with our 3G signal in the house, too.
