Trouble transferring photos to computer

Is anyone having trouble transferring photos from the phone to a PC? I'll plug the phone in, open up the photos folder and it would take a ridiculous long amount of time for the photos to load up in the folder. I only have like 150 photos. Tried a different computer and same thing happened.

Our you transfering from the micro SD card? That can take longer also depends what kind of USB on your pc mine is USB 2 so it's not the fastest, but nothing really slow either

I'm transferring from onboard storage. I'm even using a USB 3 cable. With my iPhone 6, hundreds of photos would populate in a matter seconds
