trouble with connect to pc -- USB device not recognized

Sensation phone wont connect to PC
I am running XP
I get this error when plugging in usb port -- USB device not recognized.
Any ideas? Thanks....

do you have the right drivers in? Is the phone rooted? if so what Rom? and what kernel stock or custom?
I only ask this becouse I rooted my phone and was messing around with some kernels to see how far it would over clock, and found some of them had a problem hooking up to the pc..
