Trouble With Sleep of Death on EB01/SuperClean 2.x?

no problem the real thanx is 2 gunnermike or dxc... wen i find the post where they gave me the advice i will give credit 2 the proper person... but i like i said... flashed a theme(superdark for me) and i have had 0 problems since and its been bout a week since i flashed the theme so that is def the fix for this problem and maybe the only fix for now
update: found the post... gunnermike is the one to thank for this fix (unless someone found the fix and gunnermike just passed it along lol thats all i did was pass it on) either way thanx 2 gunnermike, dxc, adrynalyne, sheepdog, jaekarr and landshark( if i forgot anyone i apologize) for all the help they have given me and everyone else they have made my fascinate more than awesome

Strange...the SOD happened to me not long after flashing the Nextang theme. Also had it once on the VA Green theme. I'll try the Superdark and see what happens.
if that does not work for u try not using adw launcher.... u can maybe ignore this as im not 100% on this 1 but i think i remember coming across a post where people r having trouble with adw launcher on superclean 2.x i will reiterate i could be wrong so if gunnermike or dxc or someone could clarify that for u

lol. no one told me, i figured it out for myself. i seriously doubt i was the first to figure that out though. if i was, its not because im super smart, i just have a problem leaving my phone alone. i might be sick in the head.

Yeah, had the SOD on LP+ too. Out of curiosity, is anyone with this problem using Switchpro widget or another power control widget that changes brightness? The one thing that seems to always precede the SOD for me has been installing and putting this widget on my desktop. Also, one time I did have it before I installed the widget and checked my screen timeout settings...there was nothing checked which is the same as having the screen never turn off. Apparently, backup assistant restored the setting automatically from a previous flash. Also, I think Super Clean has a power control widget on one of the homescreens by default if I remember correctly.
Hmm... like I said before I haven't had problems since I flashed a theme.... Do u notice the phone timing out faster after charging.... I noticed this wen my phone was having the problem... I have never used a power control widget I also didn't notice 1 on a home screen wen I first flashed sc...
I was thinking I saw the power control widget on one of the secondary home screens...but then again, I've been flash raping my phone every day for about 2 weeks, so I could well be mistaken. It's also possible that Google backup restored it automatically and I just assumed it was part of the rom. But anyway, I uninstalled switchpro, rebooted twice, and right now I can't seem to get an SOD. I've been putting it to sleep and leaving it for varying lengths of time about 15-20 times so far. If I get it again, I'm gonna try the Superdark theme (using VA green right now). Now that I think about it, I was running Superdark for days with no issues...the SOD cropped up the same day I changed to Nextang.
Flashed SC 2.4 Voodoo And immediately started getting this Sleep of Death. It's my wifes phone so I ended up flashing the full bloated EB01 ROM through Odin just hoping to remedy the problem.
But this Sleep of Death is VERY present on the stock EB01. I never disabled voodoo or anything before flashing through Odin and wonder if maybe that's my problem.
Before flashing SC2.4 I was running the debloated EB01 with no problems that was also flashed through Odin about a week ago.
The fact that I was running a version of EB01 with no problems before flashing SC 2.4 gives me hope that I can stay with EB01 but I really need to fix this as it's my wifes phone.
Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

I tried the patch on SC 2.4 but I still had the issues. I will flash it on the stock bloated version if it might help but don't know if it will do other damage.
Well, I had the SOD again this morning at work, so I went ahead and flashed the Superdark theme. Guess what, I've done everything that I've done before that would reliably bring on the SOD and nothing. I haven't had an SOD since I flashed Superdark. I have a couple of theories why that might have cured it.
I'm using SD v. 1 since it was already on my SD card. I had forgotten until this morning that I was having issues with clock lag just before the SOD's set in. Anyway, the SOD first surfaced after I changed from Superdark to Nextang and after I installed my clock widget on my homescreen. It seems like I'd get an SOD every time I flashed a rom or theme and put a clock widget on the main screen (I've used several different ones, including BW and minimalistic text). So, I reflashed Superdark this morning and put Simi clock on the homescreen. The one thing unique about Superdark compared to the other themes I've flashed is that it has no clock in the status bar. I'm wondering if maybe running Superdark initially (the first theme I installed with SC2.4) and then changing to a theme with a clock in the status bar might have introduced some oddities. It's entirely possible that it's just a coincidence, but my SOD issue seems to have disappeared now that I've gone back to Superdark. I should probably add that I also did a *228 and rebooted twice after that.
In summary, possible things I've done that might have caused SOD:
1. Possible clock or weather widget updating issue?
2. Something specifically tied to themes or lack of theme?
3. I was also using rotary lock unlock (5 lock mod)-Superdark version I'm using doesn't have 5 lock
4. Needed to reprogram towers (*228)?

U can probly cross #3 off ur list maybe as I was running rotary lock before superdark v1 and now v2 has the 5 lockscreens and im using rotary lock w v2 w.o a problem... Maybe someone should call in the hardly boys on this issue as they prob would get a raging clue lol... But on a serious note does this mean the only remedy for this could be superdark? adryn maybe u should look into y superdark and wat about the theme remedies the problem by breaking down the theme( u prob already thought of that nr working on it but jus a suggestion 2 finally get this resolved.... Either way I no longer have the problem and love my phone how it is atleast til u update 2 a newer version of s.c or cyanogenmod7 gets more issues resolved lol)
I'm relieved to find something that works, but I'd love to be able to use other themes also. Fortunately, Superdark is a great theme (I love the transitions), but I like changing up the look of my phone every so often. I'm gonna try some other themes I haven't tried yet to see if I can find a common thread. Also Bubbadogg, are you using Superdark with or without the clock in the status bar?
