Trouble With Sleep of Death on EB01/SuperClean 2.x?

I know, but what is the version in this post? Also, do I need to flash CWR to wipe cache after the EA28?

I went the voodoo route and literally there is nothing to it. Now, honestly, I've not seen any difference yet between the voodoo and nonvoodoo versions, but I've not made the changes to the display yet. I' still have it on the auto-brightness.

Thanx. Went the non-voodoo again. I just don't want to go there until it gets official (Froyo or Gingerbread) then I will take the leap. I just want to get back the easiest way possible.

OK, been a whole day and no problems!! I think this may have fixed it. Also went about 15 hours without a charge with HEAVY use.

before doing all this did u try just flashing superdark because this is what cured my SOD back when 2.x started coming out. I havent had SOD since sc 2.4 and have been runnin multiple themes (mostly by nitroglycerine) and still no SOD... I'm just throwing out the possibility that ur final step, flashing superdark may have cured ur SOD not going back to DI01 because i followed these steps (pre sc 2.4) minus flashing superdark and still had SOD until i flashed superdark. I dont know what cured my problem totally because ever since 2.6 ive even been able to run no theme w.o an SOD

I did a full wipe, re-flashed 2.9.2, and flashed superdark and it seems to have taken care of it. Not saying it will work for everyone but there certainly seems to be something in superdark that is taking care of this. Time will tell.

In fact this is probably the longest I've went author flashing a rom and/or a theme in a month lol.

After flashing roms & patches too many times using ODIN and CWM I started to experience Sleep of Death (SOD). I could only get my phone to reboot with a battery pull. Then I read that going into CWM works - and it did! I still had SOD problem.

I then did the following:

1. Flashed SOD patch
2. Wiped Dalvik Cache, regular Cache
3. Uninstalled YouMail.apk
4. Rebooted

I then started to use RunKeeper – along with Pandora. (In the past this was problematic with symptoms of Pandora loosing EVDO connectivity and therefore often stopped after first song play). Today after the above steps, everything worked like it should.

So all I can assume is that applications can conflict when attempting to connect too often to the internet. In my case YouMail was the culprit. Clearing this up allows for SC 2.9.2 non-voodo with EC10 to work properly.

I haven't used the SOD patch and after using the method I posted earlier in this thread I have still not had any SOD issues. (My Youmail and Pandora work fine.)

Updated to EC01 last nite n I now have SOD again... It is very inconsistent now sometimes my fone will last a half hr sometimes itll last 10 sec then SOD... I didnt kno if a new thread was necessary but anyone else have these issues w EC01 I have had it w comavolt voodoo n w imnuts 100 voodoo version 4/15... I am also usin nitrocomb 4.1 as my theme

Edit: I should also add the EC01 I flashed is nitros debloated EC01

did you go down to FULL EB01 (not D/D) then wipe everything and up to EC01?

I have not taken the plunge since mine is working great on 2.9.2 S/D EC10 Kernel, EC01 radio.

My reception has been better so far but ppl had reports of signal being better at first then worse so we shall c... Yes, I used gizmos best way to install this rom method

Regular service is better. 3g seems to be better, wifi, seems to have less issue. Gps locks within seconds, but only if you have VZW location settings on. But very nice service now.

Turns out after a couple hrs the other day I was very wrong bout finding my SOD.source I still cant seem 2 shake it... Ive tried bout everything cept flashin the patch since idk how it will effect EC01 since it was made for sc EB01 but wat do I gotta lose at this point lol will report back how it goes

Edit: patch didnt cure SOD n now I feel like thers nothing left 2 try only way I can keep it from SOD is if I leave the phone plugged in but that can't be good for the battery 2 be constantly plugged in

Bubba, did you try my suggested steps a few pages back? It is a bit of work but has cured SOD for several people.
