Truecaller vs Stock Dialer?

Anybody using Truecaller? Any problems with integration with the stock Samsung contacts app? Certain core apps I am hesitant to replace, and the dialer is one of them.

I am trying to use it but not having a lot of luck. You can't completely replace the built in dialer. It still launches on top of TrueCaller whenever the phone rings. It's not very "seamless" at all. I'm hoping for more integration but the Samsung built in dialer is feisty.

If you want the caller ID and blocking capabilities of Truecaller but you don't want to replace your dialer you might want to check out the app called Hiya. I am trying it right now and like it and it seems to get pretty good reviews. It does not replace the dialer.

Thanks all for the Hiya recommendations. Even though I am back with my 6p and I like the Nexus dialer much more than the Samsung dialer, I still downloaded Hiya to see if it adds value. Thanks again!

Truecaller had a weird response on my S7 Edge. I went through a lot of different apps, and found that "Should I Answer?" works the best without any ads, premium service, or any real impact to the actual interface of the caller. The only thing it really changes is it notifies you who is calling you in the sense that if the community has labeled the caller a telemarketer, it will tell you how many people in the community labeled the phone number as such. Otherwise, you can block callers through the app, so that would solve your issue with blocking calls with a respectful app and not messing with the interface of your phone at the same time. Two birds. One App.

I use the stock dialer on my phones but still use TrueCaller to block calls. Works great and still pops up to show the caller ID. No need to use another dialer or even the TrueCaller dialer. I have a S7 Edge, not a Note 7.

What is this caller ID Verizon is trying to sell for $2.99 a month? I see peoples names when I get calls.
