Trust Agents greyed out

I'm using the new Lollipop 5.0.1 upgrade and trying to get the Smart Lock features to work for the first time. The problem is, I cannot seem to turn it on. My phone is set to use a PIN for unlocking the lock screen, but when I go to the Security options, the Trust Agents option is greyed out.

Any advice?

Try turning the pin lock off and see if you can use trust agents ..

That option is greyed out as well.
