So I went by my local beat buy today and discovered they had an open box prime. I was able to get them to price match the hh Gregg price less 10% because it was an open box. So this meant the tablet was $360. I figured for that money it was worth trying again on the wifi performance. I'm really bummed to report that thevqifi ranges from about the same as my zoom to totally unusable depending on where I am in my house. Sitting on the couch in the basement about 15 feet from an access point the prime is getting 18 mbps and varying between -62 and -78 DB. The zoom is locked solid at 54 mbps and -5db. Really dissapointing. The wifi on the prime is bad enough that about a third if the time it fails to load a webpage. Bummer, I guess tthis one is going to have to go back too.

Mine is borderline unusable too. I will have wifi 1 second then it will completely disconnect without me moving it. And I can't get the update that supposedly fixes it.

Dude for that price I'd eBay it and make some money. Was it on ics or honeycomb?

Yeah, I'm thinking if it doesn't work out Craig's List or eBay are the way to go with it. It was on ICS and not particularly reset or anything. First thing I did was a full reset and then applied the 1/22 update.
