Seems to be stuck:
USB Debugging turned on
USB mass storage checked
On phone I can see USB storage on and USB Debugging connected
On PC I can see SAMSUNG ANDROID USB Composite Device and USB Mass storage device in USB section of the device manager
I can see the SD card in Windows now - so I know that I'm connected and seeing the device
I downloaded the FascinateRoot_V02
I started a cmd window as administrator
when I issue the command
adb devices
i get -
List of devices attached
I500c9e02bca offline

any help would be really appreciated

Do not mount your sd card you should not see it on your computer
before you attempt this again restart your phone, and first use the command
adb kill-server
then try again remember not to mount your sd card

No Joy - this is what I got:

pulled the battery and restarted phone
did the adb kill-server command
then did the adb devices
it said -
* daemon not running. starting it now *
*daemon started successfully *

did you reboot your device? also try Ctrl+alt+del , then go to task manager, processes, and end the adb.exe process

Still no Joy

Pulled the battery again - restarted the phone
rebooted the PC
ran the adb kill-server then adb devices
still get

yea - started with a clean phone (battery out - then in) and rebooted the PC so that is fresh.

Update - all is complete now.
so any reader knows only thing that was wrong was that USB was plugged in the front jack. When moved to the usb on the motherboard itself in the back, it worked as designed.

Many thanks to Droidxcon for all of his help and patience

you should del the adb key files.go to users/your name/.android , you'll find adb keys there. delete it and restart your computer.connect your device again with usb debugging mode'ON'. it will ask for authorization.click allow.it works
