#TryLGG4 given me a unit to test

I'm coming from an HTC One (M7) and man was I blown away. My first impression was reports of it being massive are right but I have zero issues using it one handed. It is so balanced and hand fitting.
LG software is not in the way at all the way I use my phone (3rd party launcher, mostly Google's apps,...) Set it up once and forget about it.
And that camera! Coming from the M7 I'm pretty used to lugging my DSLR. But no more, no need.
It is plastic and plasticy plastic. It won't fool you in the hand but not tacky plastic either. I def recommend the leather over the plastic.

This was the same experience I had with my G3. Was just WOWED with the device. Glad to see others taking notice of what LG is doing with their devices! Pretty soon, LG will be for the masses and I will move on to the next up and coming underdog, lol!

Awesome! The color looks good actually.

Hey friend a tough question for you.....having used it for a while, do you really think that the G4 is a high end phone that can take me for the next 2 years? Cause this is what I am planning actually. Plus I am a Big fan and daily user of the camera photos for my kids and G4 really got my attention. I would like to have your honest views....cause the Note 5 is just around the corner in while and who knows whats new coming with it. Personally The S6 has a lot of deal breakers for me....Please reply....Thank you for your time

UPS showed up at my door this morning with my test unit. I just got it up and going and first impression is that it is a great device. Feels a lot like the G3 to me. I know there is a lot for me to test out, especially the camera. Had to order a nano to micro sim adapter because I dont want to deal with getting another SIM activated so I will just be using it as a wifi device for the first few days. I'll keep things updated here as well once I play with it more. I'm excited to try out the camera. Screen is VERY nice!

Hi, I do think the G4 will last you 2 years. Aside from the back which is replaceable the rest of the phone is very sturdy and the back too seems a top notch fit and you can swap it after any possible damage. Hardware wise I'm confident it can still take anything thrown at it in two years.
I don't know much about the note series but I'm not a Samsung fan to begin with. If the S6 camera is in the Note 5 the G4 already has it beat and the battery is giving me nearly 4.5hrs screen on time when in the honeymoon phase which I rarely put the phone down.

Launch for VZW is 6/4 so typically there is no devices in the database until closer to that time frame.

Here's a cheeky update; I was reading the news of Sony announcing the Z3+ on my LG G4 and I laughed at Sony

I must say that I've been pretty impressed with the G4 so far. I have been using it at home since I wont know until this afternoon (when my sim adapter comes) how it works as a phone, but as a WiFi device I've enjoyed the G4. The 5.5" screen is amazing. The colors and details on it are so clean and crisp! I'm still playing around with the camera. So far it seems to be good. I've been extremely impressed with my wife's G6 so I'll be doing some comparisons there. I haven't noticed any lag or issues with the OS so far and am running LGs skin. I prefer to run Nova or Google's launcher, but am sticking to 100% stock to get the typical user experience. I'll update today on how the activation goes. Based on the frequencies the box said it has it should work on VZW, and if the G4 isnt in their system yet it should work but just not have all of the features that it should. This was the same thing that happened when I had a Nexus 6 on VZW that I got through Google Play before it was on VZW. We'll see...

Will not work on VZW. When I input the SIM, next to the network status it spins as if it's trying to activate but then never does. I restarted the phone equaling no luck, and then reset the phone and that didnt work either. Bummer.
