Turn off sound when phone plugged in

Hello, is this only for rooted phones?
Mine is not rooted, and I can't find "my device", - > accessory - > uncheck docking sound

Please tell me there is a way to turn off the sound the phone makes when it is plugged into a charger? I am not rooted and would prefer to stay that way for simplicity sake. This sound is bugging the crap out of me.

If you hit one of volume buttons and a slider bar pops up, next to it should be a menu button. Hit that and 4 more slider bars drop down. One of them is touch feedback and system. Slide that one all the way down.

I'm on Android 9 (Pie), and the names of the options seem to have changed a bit but the beginning is the same:

1) Press one of the volume buttons.
2) Tap the settings icon on the menu that shows the volume.
3) At the bottom of the screen open the Advanced section
4) Turn off charging sounds.

This is EXTREMELY annoying when plugging in my S7 edge, can't wait to root my phone sometime so I can somehow disable vibration even if my phone is turned off!! I hope to root sometime
There's no way to turn it off if your not rooted.
I've gone to the point of looking up videos of opening up my s7 edge so i can just pry that darned vibrator out! so annoying...

Same problem found solution. Under Sounds>Advanced> there is a setting for Charging Notification! OMG! So easy. I've been having this problem for months. Hope it helps.
