Turning Digital Wellbeing Off

I just saw some Reddit posts and other people on this form saying that they had it on and then turned it off when they were on pie and it improved their performance. I turn mine back on ..I'm on Q beta 3.

Ok so just to be clear there are no known issues with it being OFF...being ON caused performance issues, and turning it off improved performance. Similar to recent article on this site, so we're on same page.

Yes absolutely.

My 3 is being delivered today and it will be one of the first things I turn off.

Yes true, but it's not as important if you want Android Q Beta on your phone.

Got it, easy set up, and loving it this far! Feels snappier than my S10e... Yes, I suffer from phone addiction.

Thanks guys for the info, I'll have to check it out
BTW I've had it turned off for 3 days and I haven't notice any battery improvement. I'm wondering if it's because even if you turn it off and then back on it says hey if you turn it back on you will receive the last 10 days of data. That makes me believe that even though it's not displaying the stats it's still always collecting the last 10 days of data.

see now, I'm also wondering if I turn off always on Ambien display if that'll save a significant amount of battery but that's too functional for me to turn off at the end of the day as well...

Yeah always on from my experience ends up using a out 10% of battery in a day's worth of usage.

When I got my phone at launch AoD was a major feature I thought I'd use but came to realize for me it's annoying and raise to wake was enough. With that said I was experiencing 1% battery loss every hour overnight with AoD on. It's very possible things improved since then, for it was more a 20% battery depletion over a day

Don't get me wrong I love the feature and I've used it and at times i still turn it on, but the battery life on the pixel 3 xk isn't the best it's just average and I'm heavy user because I rely on the phone heavily for work etc and why I keep it off most of the time.

Oh I hear you.. However for my own personal usage, I've found that the battery is awesome. I barely ever talk on my phone. Just use the applications and keep current with the blogs that I subscribe to. I watch a crap ton of videos such as YouTube on my phone.
