Turning off sound associated with blacking the screen?

The sound and notification settings on my 3a are confusing as all get-out to me.

I've had this phone for 10 days.

Just in the last couple days, it's started to make a tone, kind of like a hollow hoofbeat, when I use the side button to turn the screen off.

The noise itself isn't annoying - just the fact that the noise suddenly appeared, and I see no way to eliminate it?

How do I silence this noise? Is there an online manual with an expansive description of controlling all the combinations of notifications?

First of all, wrong forum. There is one specific to 3a.

Got to settings app->sound, turn off screen lock sound.
