Turning off vibrate for messages

Hello,

is there a way to turn off vibrations when receiving a text? I've looked everywhere in the messaging app settings and the general settings. Using the stock/ samsung messaging app but if it's not possible to turn off something as basic as this it would be laughable... I guess there are alternatives because it seems extremely willing to autocorrect to the wrong words even when you type something correctly, unless that's just the Samsung keyboard in general.

Under vibration intensity there's a slider for notifications but not for the messaging app alone.

Thanks in advance

Are you meaning when the tone sounds, it vibrates as well? If so open the Samsung message app, tap on the 3 dots top right corner, tap settings, then notifications turn off vibrate when sound plays

No, when I have my phone on silent it will still vibrate when receiving texts. It's really frustrating because it's really disruptive at times.

That's weird. If I put my phone on silent I get no vibration. Have you put your phone on silent mode, then open the message app and do the settings check?

My phone doesn't vibrate. I went into sound settings and shut off vibrations there. I usually do that early on after getting a new phone.

in the stock messaging app? or third party app like Textra?
in the stock, I can go to:
messages app
tap the 3 dots
settings
notifications (to change sounds)
the my version has a option to turn on/off vibration when it sounds.
I have mine off

your carrier could have removed that option for some reason.
FYI, I'm using the T-Mobile USA variant.
