Turnn off touch vibrating???

Ok if your looking to turn off the vibration on the keyboard on a typical droid phone please go to settings. language & keyboard. touch input. text input. then scroll down to vibrate when typing. think that will solve the general complaint. if you have any other heptic vibration issues let me know as I hate the heptic vibration feature.

Go to settings
Then Sounds
Uncheck vibration feedback

On a Droid Eris? No, haptic feedback on the softkeys remains.

i have the opposite issue.. i want vibration, have it turned on, but no vibration.. have a new HTC One with gingerbread

You may get better help here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-android-phones/ rather than in this forum, for the Droid Eris, a 3.5 year old phone.

(Also, I believe that the HTC One has Jellybean...)

wow some stupid ppl on here took me a while of searching to finally figure it out ...was driving me nuts with all the vibrating ... the way to turn this feature off is real simple
go into Settings
press tab Language and Keyboard
press Multi-touch Keyboard
(right then you should see) Vibrate on keypress by clicking on this you can either disactivate the feature or turn it on

I went to settings, sounds and notifications then disabled vibrate on touch. Nothing I touch vibrates now I hope it works for you
