Hello, loving my Chromecast, had it about 2 weeks now and it works nice except for one issue.

Whenever we have the input on the tv and we go to change the channel from our cable remote it says it cannot find the device.

Then we have to turn the tv off and on to get it to work. Just to change the channel. We never had this problem before the Chromecast was installed so obviously that's the culprit. Just curious how you guys have dealt with this. It's quite annoying.

I'm not sure if I'm having the same issue, but I constantly can't find the Chromecast through the App or other applications that support casting to the Chromecast. The apps see it for a few minutes and then loses it. I have rebooted the device. Unplugged it and factory reset it.

I hope you figure out your issue.

I can't believe no one else is having this issue.

Your TV is probably autosensing a device on the HDMI port and switching to that port. Thus...you can't change channels because the tuner (in the tv) isn't active. Try using the remote's input button or menu to turn it back to tv mode fron hdmi mode.

Thank you. I think that's exactly what it's doing and I have to sometimes manually change the hdmi input selection. So annoying.
