TV Show Stream

Edit: The TV Now app on Market with very similar looking logo and screenshots is apparently not the same. A note has been added to the description:

"Note: this app has nothing to do with TV Shows Stream whih was made by a different developer!"

Thanks, Robrecht

well, at least it's a response--and a fair amount of emulators were in fact pulled recently so i'll give him/her some credibility.

i'm not one to pirate apps, nor support illegally downloading apps that cost $

LOL. You do realize that you are pirating TV shows, right?

Disclaimer: This is not a moral judgement, as I too am using TV Show Streams, but I found the irony in your statement too hard to resist.

hm. i suppose i am.
odd view: i'm watching someone's DVR'd/uploaded to share shows. i'm content in that belief.

time to go join the old Napster. if i'm in, i'm in all the way :)

Since TV Shows Stream is still working, even though it has been pulled from the Market, I haven't felt the need for any other app.

Having said that, I am still desperately waiting for Netflix! There's nothing like it at the moment.

Just emailed the developer and Google Android Market:

Dear Loading Home:

I noticed that your TV Streamimg app is no longer available on Android Market. How are your paying customers going to be able to update or replace their app without Market? For example, after a hard reset or flashing a new ROM? Is your program available elsewhere? Do you have records of who your customers on Market are? Can you send me an apk file?

Dear Market/Google:

Apparently you have removed the app called TV Shows Stream from Market. How are your paying customers going to be able to update or replace their app, for example, after a factory reset? If there is no way for you to assist your paying customers, are you planning on reimbursing us for our purchase? How come you did not notify your customers about this action?

Thanks, Robrecht

Hi,

Thanks for writing in to Android Market. The app 'TV Shows Stream' was
removed from Android Market for violating the Terms of Service set in
place by Google.

Apps are added and removed daily. I apologize that you weren't notified
about the change. You can contact the developer of this app about getting
a refund. Contact the developer here:

support@loadinghome.net

If you don't hear back from the developer, please let me know and I'll
continue to assist you.

Regards,

James
The Android Market Team

Hi, James.

I have already emailed the developer and he has not responded. I would like to know what Google plans to do about taking money from paying customers and then taking away the item purchased. At the very least you owe your customers a refund and an apology and I am surprised and disappointed that no one at Google realizes this.

Sincerely, Robrecht

I know the app has been removed, and it sounds like the developer is not going to do any maintenance, but I am having problems getting anything to play other than megavideo....anyone else having the same problem?

thx!

This was posted on their Facebook page on Thursday :

Probably you have noticed that Loombo, frogmovz and karambavidz stopped working few days ago. This issue is not related with the app itself. You can check that the video servers are unavailable from any browser (www.frogmovz.com , www.karambavidz.com, www.loombo.com). Those video servers are totally external to us. As soon as those sites works again, the app will work as usual.

We are investigating new video hosting servers to be offered within the search results. Remember that Megavideo links are working as usual.

Still no word on getting the apk? I purchased this app. I somehow failed to back it up unfortunately.

I agree I'm fed up with the megavideo 72 minute cap and I don't want to sign up.

The US Senate just passed legislation to shut down the illegal, for profit streaming sites. It doesn't cover individual peer-to-peer. Just the sites making money off of stolen goods.

Aren't the most of these sites hosted outside the US?
