Android Central Question
Recently I have purchased a Huawei P Smart. I use Twitter regularly and so downloaded the app once again but have ran into an unusual error; whenever I post a tweet, I receive a push notification.
There is an initial quick way to turn this off - simply go to the notifications section on the Settings app, find Twitter, and deactivate the "Related to You and Your Tweets" option. However, this also deactivates any notifications for mentions, likes, and retweets. Switching off Push Notifications within the Twitter app itself, amazingly, will switch off every single form of Push Notification except this one where I post a tweet. There just doesn't seem to be any clear way to remove it without removing numerous other notifications with it, and its existence doesn't really make any sense, especially when the settings in the Twitter app can't even control it. Even various 3rd party notification apps were little to no good.
Has anyone else ran into this issue? I spent ages trying to fix it, and I know it seems pedantic, but it eventually just drove me insane hearing the same jingle and having push notifications flash in my face whenever I post a quick tweet; but of course, I also want them to be left on so I know when I get any notifications when not looking at my phone.
