Two different Droid X's?

I was looking at pictures of cases and I noticed the cutout for the rear speaker and mic seemed odd as it was off center and way to big for just the rear mic and speaker.

Looking further into it I noticed some pictures of a Droid X with what looks like an extra hole in the rear to the right of the speaker port and mic. It looks like the one on this link.

Does anyone know what that extra port/hole is for and why mine doesn't have it?

It was a early prototype phone..... They weren't released like the first pic.

I was thinking it was a prototype but just wanted to make sure. It's just odd that all the cases I have seen are still designed for the prototype and have a larger cutout on the rear when the final design of the phone doesn't need it.

ya, i dont like the large cutout around the speaker.
