typing in text box does nothing

This has happened no matter how many times I've factory reset.

when I go to reply to a text message (handcent and stock) sometimes I go to type and nothing happens. the cursor is in the text box but typing does nothing. sometimes if i rotate the screen a few times whatever I typed appears. sometime I have to open/close app. sometimes only a reboot fixes it.

anyone else having this and more importantly solved this?

stock keyboard as well as others produce same problem.

Try to SBF. Then do a factory reset.

Try this: applications; manage applications; click 'All' at the top. Find your keyboard and select it then hit clear data. It worked for me. My keyboard was under 'multitouch keyboard' hope it works for ya

I had the same issue and did a Factory Reset and it fixed it...

This is the fix . there's no reason to sbf or factory reset.
