Ugliest case EVER!!

I received an email from otterbox today saying the case is ready for purchase. Maybe it's a different one than you wanted?

Possibly, I am waiting for a notification on the Nightsky Defender. Just checked my e-mail to see if I had missed it, but still a no = - /.
 
I received the same one and definitely agree, it's horrendous! But, it'll be temporary protection until my Siedio arrives. Free is free...

Boo! On the plus side they are sending out notifications on some cases... That should be a good sign for the others.

Of course there is always the possibility Siedio will try to put a customs hold on Otterbox cases. I heard that happened somewhere, sometime, with another product, can't remember exactly when though... :p
 
Do you think they will allow us to exchange the free case for one we like better in the store?

I didn't get the smurf one I got a gun metal body glove one. Would use it if it didn't cover the kickstand and have a terible one of its own.

I got the Smurf one. Glad some have had luck exchanging it in-store. I wish I came home to see what I got sent (saw the extra shipment in my tracking) before I picked up a case at Best Buy. The BB one is a slide on that also has a holster - the fit is snug and I think I will keep it. For the Smurf, maybe I'll see if I can exchange for the car dock in-store.

I never complained about it, and I do appreciate the gesture. But that doesn't negate the ugliness of the case.

Personally I wish they had just sent a gift card to be used on accessories that we wanted.

Sure it's free, sure it's ugly, sure it's appreciated, but honestly they did me the biggest favor just by getting this awesome phone in my greedy hands!

People cannot just be happy. They gripe about having to wait and wanting something free, but when they get something, they gripe some more. So ungrateful.

Great news - I went into a retail store and they just gave me $20 credit towards any other accessory. Got myself a new car dock for $15 :-)
 
I never used a case on my original EVO and it has no scratches on it, so I didn't plan on using a case with the EVO LTE...

But this free case surprised me. I actually like it besides the color (I also got Jet Blue). It has a real nice feel to it, it's textured for some grip, and you don't have to worry about wiping off fingerprints or being too gentle placing it down.

Now I might actually buy the case in Black and resell this blue one.
 
To be honest, I think it looks pretty cool. I was planning on buying a case but this should do just fine. Don't see what everyone's complaining about.
 
Aren't forums great? To have the ability to come on here and throw down complaints about something free from the carrier, regardless of its looks when Sprint had nothing to do with the delay.. As someone else mentioned.... keep it, use it, ditch it, but complain? Nah...
