UI 7 Things You Like / Dislike

I just received this update this morning and so far I do not like the rapid battery drain. I took my phone off of the charger and in 30 minutes I lost 16% of my battery, usually I lose about 2% to 3% when I first take my car off of the charger and then the battery drain slows down I plugged the phone into car charger for my 1 hour commute and used Spotify and Google maps as usual and then battery drained faster than it could charge. My battery is usually at 100% after my commute and if I plug it in the car charger but at the rate it is draining it will not make it past noon today. When I check the battery usage, the percentages do not add up to the drain. I hope this improves over time.

I agree with @notforhire. Battery drains can occur after an update, especially after a major update. I usually give it week. One UI 7 has had a few hiccups. 🫣

You might consider wiping the cache partition if you haven't already.

It appears you had really great battery life so I hope it returns soon. 🤞

I need to sit and play with it some more when I get off work. So far I think I'm the only person who likes the battery icon though. Lol

What's the difference between Gemini and Google Assistant? I want to get rid of one but i want to make sure i keep the best one ( even though I don't use it much ).

Google Assistant will go away all by itself. Google is killing it off.

So far the things I like are:

The big folders
Being able to swipe between the notifications and the quick settings
The now bar
The charging animations
The new clock options and that I can make the clocks bigger
I like the stuff people did with the diy homescreen. I'm going to try it out

The one thing I dont like is I still can't make my AOD screen brighter, so I took off my picture and i am just using my big clock.

That's a good list!

They took away the option to have only a notification icon under the lockscreen and aod clocks when my phone is locked. They now show up the top in the status bar, but I can't double-click to open them anymore. Boooo .lol

No they didn't. Settings / Notifications / Lock screen Notifications / select "cards"

Im assuming she meant the icons, not the status bars or cards. Just the small icons.
But selection "cards" will put the small icons under the aod clock.

Mine stayed the way it was set before after the update. The small notification icons were lined up under the clock before the update, and were still there after.

Yes i wanted the small icons under the clocks. With the cards option being selected it does it on the Aod screen. It doesn't do the small icons on the lockscreen anymore though. That's where the cards are. It used to do both Aod and lockscreen , but at least one of them works. Lol

I just did a HomeUp update in Goodlock and now I can't change the color of my folder. The color option doesn't come up. It was working fine before I updated. Anyone else have this issue ? I posted a picture to show what comes up when I click on the folder.

I figured it out. It's my icon pack and HomeUp. When I switch my icon pack it changes the color of my folder to match the icon pack , but that should only happen if you have that option turned on in HomeUp. Mine is turned off and it's still using my icon pack background for the folders.

When I switched back to the stock icon pack everything is fine and the option to change the folder color is available. It's probably is a glitch with the HomeUp update because I was using this icon pack before updating and i was able to change the folder color.

Thanks for pointing this out. 👍 I'll probably hold off updating HomeUp for a while.
