Same with my OP3T. Briefly had it on a beta. Gone with the official release.

Shows that it is completely technically feasible but the networks just won't allow it

I'm on EE firmware. Probably have my Note 9 before I need to worry about it.

Got 8.0 on EE this morning.
OTA forced update.

Can't comment on the update as will leave it til tonight to install.

Just updated on EE too. I'm out the country at the moment so nice that the software still gets pushed although sorry for the hotels WiFi that I just abused to download the update!

Too soon to report back but update seemed to go well and no obvious problems since. Have done a cache partition wipe but done plan to do a factory reset if I can possibly avoid it

S pen not working properly ,battery drain and had to wipe cache and do factory reset

Yes and at and t has already received 8.1 patch update to fix there issues

The amount of waiting and checking for updates I've done over the last fortnight... I'm bet I won't even care once I get it! I'm done.

Exactly the same as me, unlocked direct from Samsung and using a 3 SIM and nothing.

I've been away from the Note range since the Note 4 and thought that Samsung had got better with updates but seems not.

Any reason to not flash 3's own 8.0 to enable VoLTE and WiFi calling?

UK/Ireland XEU and UK BTU are only UK handsets yet to receive 8.0 then, all networks have received it but unlocked haven't.

Yep just saw, that means all networks in the UK have received the update, including XEU and BTU....


Still not sure about installing it, might just hang on a while longer on nougat.
