Sorry to ask this; I've had a good look around and can't see a definitive answer

I'm really tempted with the S22 Ultra, more so if it's going to replace my iPhone 13 Pro Max

So, do they have the OEM screen protector fitted like the Note 20 Ultra et al did before?

Cheers

This kind of thing gets under my skin. My Note 10+ has the factory applied screen protector and what did that cost Samsung. .20 cents US , if that? My $1,300US S22 Ultra had no factory screen protector applied. Why? Samsung trying not to spend . 25 cents US? They trying to help the screen protector manufacturers make $$?

Bottom line, they've taken away factory installed screen protectors, headphones/headphone adapters, chargers.... All while charging us more for the phones. Grrrrrr... It boils down to nothing less than greed...but I digress. We give them our money anyways.

Does not come pre-installed on s22u, but they sell them on samsung.com.

I didn't have on pre-installed on my n20u but they did on my n10+. I was impressed with how long it lasted and never lifted.

Cheers for the replies...

Puts me right off the S22 Ultra. Daft as it sounds, the OEM fitted screen protectors have been brilliant for me (Note 10 Plus, Note 20 Ultra, S1 Ultra etc); just worked well and never any issues with them lifting or being case unfriendly etc

My iPhone 13 Pro Max, with its large, flat screen is great for screen protectors and cases etc

Looks like I'll be staying with that for the foreseeable

I certainly get that but the S22U is a magnificent device otherwise and the WhiteStone Dome TGSP does it justice. I think the WhiteStone is worth the $40US they ask for the 2 of them that are included in that once applied you really can't even notice its there and, IME, the ultrasonic FPR works just fine with it.

It's the faff I can't be arsed with and as much as an Android fan I am; TBH the iPhone 13 Pro Max is a superb phone and the camera is astonishing!

has anyone ordered and installed the Samsung screen protector? It was not available at launch- supply chain? And perhaps why it was not included- or they were simply aiming to max profits.

I've got it and a pair of others, just haven't quite gotten around to installing.

It would appear they're looking to maximize profits. Pleases the investors.

Apparently, from what I've see whilst researching this, is that Samsung didn't want to fit them and 'add to the already high pollution/wastage issues with one use plastics'...

Their lawyers thought that one up.
