Just purchased S22 Ultra

Can the Android Auto system in a car be updated? Does it update when you connect with your device? Just curious.
The android app resides on the phone itself, Google actually owns that app and provides the code for it. It's just hard for me to believe that the public isn't raising cane over this issue, this is one of the selling features in the latest automobile lines from the various manufacturers, a lot of car owners have to be affected.

Android Auto worked flawlessly for me on day one with my S22U. There were people that had problems connecting their S22's with Pioneer Android Auto head unit systems that they installed on their vehicles (they weren't native to their vehicles).

Exactly me lol. Pioneer head unit with the latest firmware. Works with every other phone I have at my disposal which includes LG and Motorola but not my S22 Ultra or S22+. Quite annoying

I am so sorry. What a PITA. There are a million posts in the AA Reddit forum, AA forum & Google forums regarding the S22's & AA not working on Pioneer head units. Supposedly Pioneer is working on an fix.

Yup. And meanwhile, there's a whole thread here with people reporting that the S22 series works fine with their car's Android Auto: https://forums.androidcentral.com/s...-s22-android-12-android-auto.html#post7055350. Hopefully Pioneer will fix their problem soon.

I think maybe the reason the public isn't raising cane is because most people with the S22's are not having problems with AA. Most reports of problems were those with Pioneer head units.

I put on my Whitestone Dome Glass and had a perfect installation on the second try as the first try did not have enough liquid dispersion, and then I put my S22 Ultra in a Unicorn Beetle Supcase that delivered this morning and the damn thing lifted one of the corners of the screen protector. I was able to save it by pushing down on it and curing it under UV light, but now I have some tiny areas where you can see the cured liquid dispersion was lifted. It's not enough for me to have to order yet another set of screen protectors, but it's so irritating. Pro tip: Supcase is NOT screen protector friendly.
If you use the fingerprint detector you may want to go naked screen. With anything over the screen it doesn't read fingerprints every time.

I'm giving it another try...
Just order a S22U, Sky Blue, 256gb. 3-4 week delivery time. With a military discount (never knew they had one) I received $104 off on total package.

Something new they gave me a code that if someone wants to use, they can get 5% off on a purchase (and to be up front, I would also get something; not sure what.

Time to order another WSD or maybe the AMfilm....
